Machine Gun Kelly Chooses Daughter Over Coachella, Reveals Alleged Ban Since 2012
Machine Gun Kelly, the Cleveland native rapper, was excited to finally attend Coachella this year after allegedly being banned since 2012. However, he revealed on Twitter that he will not be able to make it to the festival this year as his 14-year-old daughter Casie has a volleyball tournament scheduled on the same days.
In a tweet, MGK expressed his disappointment, stating, “never been to a coachella, they banned me in 2012 for whatever reason, i was looking forward to finally going this year but my daughters volleyball tournament ended up on the same days so yall will have to lmk how it is, she comes first.”
This news comes after Machine Gun Kelly and Trippie Redd surprised fans with a collaborative EP titled genre: sadboy, featuring 10 tracks and production from various artists. The lead single, “Lost Boys,” delves into MGK’s struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts.
Despite missing out on Coachella this year, Machine Gun Kelly continues to stay busy with his music career. Fans can catch a glimpse of the making of the EP through a mini documentary released by the duo.
While MGK may have to wait another year to attend Coachella, his dedication to his daughter and his music remains unwavering.
