NBA YoungBoy Facing 63 Charges in Prescription Drug Fraud Ring Arrest in Utah
NBA YoungBoy Faces 63 Charges in Prescription Drug Fraud Ring
Cache County, UT – NBA YoungBoy, the popular rapper, has found himself in hot water once again as he faces a staggering 63 charges in connection to a prescription drug fraud ring in Utah. The Baton Rouge native, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was taken into police custody earlier this week, and new details about his alleged crimes have now emerged.
According to reports from KUTV 2 News Salt Lake City, YoungBoy is suspected of being involved in a large-scale prescription fraud ring that is known to acquire Promethazine with Codeine. Authorities have been monitoring his activities since September 2023, suspecting him of obtaining drugs under false identities.
Law enforcement officials revealed that individuals working for YoungBoy would call in prescriptions under fake names or unauthorized physicians and attempt to pick them up. A search of his home uncovered prescriptions matching some of these fake names, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges.
YoungBoy denies any involvement in the criminal operation and is currently being held in jail without bail. The charges against him include a pattern of unlawful activity, procuring drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.
This latest legal trouble adds to YoungBoy’s ongoing legal woes, including previous weapons charges and a pending trial in Louisiana. The rapper’s alleged drug habit has also been a point of contention, with federal prosecutors accusing him of violating the terms of his house arrest by using or possessing controlled substances. The investigation into his criminal conduct is ongoing, with multiple agencies involved in the case.
