Conway The Machine Announces Release Date and Cover Art for New Album SFK
Conway The Machine is gearing up to drop his highly anticipated fourth solo studio album, SFK, and fans are buzzing with excitement after he revealed the cover art and release date on Wednesday. The album’s cover art features a frowning face doodle with a slanted mouth, leading many to speculate that SFK stands for “Slant Face Killah,” a reference to Conway’s facial gunshot injury and a nod to Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan fame.
Scheduled for a May 10 release, SFK could potentially serve as the “B-Sides” to Conway’s 2023 album Won’t He Do It, which he has been teasing for some time now. Earlier this year, the Griselda MC dropped a new track produced by Cool & Dre titled “Give & Give,” showcasing his lyrical prowess with lines like, “Iām the grim reaper of the rappers and I got more to torment.”
In addition to his solo work, Conway recently collaborated with Joey Bada$$ on the gritty track “Vertino,” where both artists deliver hard-hitting verses over Camouflage Monk’s production. With lyrics that paint vivid pictures of street life and survival, the duo’s chemistry shines through on the track.
Fans can expect both “Give & Give” and “Vertino” to potentially appear on Won’t He Do It: Side B, although it remains unclear if this project is the same as SFK. Regardless, Conway The Machine continues to solidify his status as one of hip-hop’s most talented and authentic voices, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the release of his upcoming album.
