    The upcoming FX limited series “Clipped” is set to premiere on Hulu, featuring Laurence Fishburne as NBA Head Coach Doc Rivers during his tumultuous time coaching the Los Angeles Clippers under disgraced owner Donald Sterling. The drama-filled trailer showcases Fishburne in the role of Rivers during the infamous moment when Sterling’s racist remarks about Black people were caught on tape, leading to a media firestorm.

    Ed O’Neill portrays Sterling, with Jacki Weaver as his wife and business partner, Shelly, and Cleopatra Coleman as his assistant, V. Stiviano, who recorded the incriminating conversations. The series follows Rivers’ quest to lead the Clippers to a championship while navigating the power struggles between Sterling, Stiviano, and Shelly.

    Based on the ESPN 30 for 30 podcasts “The Sterling Affairs,” “Clipped” offers a compelling narrative of racial reckoning in the Obama era, exploring themes of power, influence, and transformative change. The series also stars Kelly AuCoin, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Rich Sommers, Corbin Bernsen, Clifton Davis, and Harriet Sansom Harris.

    Created and showrun by Gina Welch, “Clipped” is executive produced by Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Zanne Devine, Ramona Shelburne, and Kevin Bray, who also directs three of the six episodes. The highly anticipated series is scheduled to premiere on June 4 on Hulu, with back-to-back episodes that promise to captivate audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar cast.
