50 Cent Files Defamation Suit Against Ex-Girlfriend Daphne Joy Over Rape and Abuse Accusations

Rapper 50 Cent Fights Back Against Ex-Girlfriend’s Rape Accusations

After enduring weeks of public scrutiny following his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy’s accusations of rape and abuse, rapper 50 Cent is fighting back in court. The hip-hop artist, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, filed a defamation lawsuit against Joy in Texas on Monday.

In the lawsuit, Jackson claims that Joy, also known as Daphne Narvaez, made false accusations against him on social media, leading to widespread public ridicule and damage to his reputation. His attorney, Reena Jain, stated that despite multiple opportunities for Joy to retract her statements, she chose to continue spreading lies about him.

The court documents reveal that Joy’s allegations not only harmed Jackson’s personal and business reputation but also affected his ongoing custody battle for their 11-year-old son, Sire. Jackson asserts that Joy’s actions were a deliberate attempt to sabotage his relationship with his son and tarnish his image in the public eye.

This legal battle comes on the heels of another lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones against Sean “Diddy” Combs, in which Joy was accused of being a sex worker for Combs. Joy denied these allegations, prompting Jackson to mock Jones, which in turn led to Joy making her own accusations against Jackson.

In response to the ongoing defamation, Jackson is seeking over $1 million in damages from Joy. The rapper is determined to clear his name and protect his reputation from what he believes are baseless and malicious claims made by his ex-girlfriend.
