Havoc Speculates on Actors to Play Mobb Deep in Biopic: Tray Chaney and JD Williams
Havoc, one half of the iconic hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, has sparked speculation about a potential biopic by suggesting actors Tray Chaney and JD Williams to play himself and his late partner Prodigy on the big screen. The producer expressed his confidence in the duo’s ability to capture the essence of Mobb Deep’s legacy, calling them the perfect pair of iconic actors for the roles.
Chaney, known for his role in The Wire, has been actively campaigning for the opportunity to portray Havoc alongside Williams as Prodigy. The actor took to social media to share his excitement about the possibility, highlighting his personal connection to the group and his past collaborations with Williams onscreen.
While no official Mobb Deep biopic has been announced, Havoc has been keeping busy with his music career. He recently formed the super-group GUTTR with Ras Kass and RJ Payne, releasing their debut album “Everything Is..” in March. The project features collaborations with Method Man, Fame of M.O.P, Twista, Raekwon, and other notable artists.
In addition to the GUTTR project, Havoc revealed plans for a new Mobb Deep album featuring posthumous vocals from Prodigy, as well as an upcoming collaboration with Method Man. The producer remains dedicated to preserving the legacy of Mobb Deep and continuing to create impactful music for their fans.
