The road to the championship was not easy for the Big Blue. After a tough loss to Talladega College earlier in the tournament, they faced off against Edward Waters in a crucial match to determine who would advance to the championship game. The Big Blue showed their resilience by using two explosive five-run innings to defeat the Tigers 12-7, with Braeden Major delivering a stellar performance on the mound.

In the championship game, the Big Blue found themselves in a tight battle with Talladega College. After falling behind early, they rallied back to tie the game in the fifth inning. The offense then exploded for four runs in the ninth inning, securing the 5-1 lead and ultimately the championship victory.

Pitcher Zach Powell played a crucial role in the team’s success, earning his 10th win of the season and being awarded the Best Pitcher Award for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament. Peyton Lewis was named the Black College World Series MVP for his impressive contributions, including scoring five runs and driving in six RBI.
