Lauryn Hill and Son YG Marley Deliver Electrifying Performance on The Tonight Show

In a rare late-night appearance, Lauryn Hill took the stage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside her 22-year-old son, YG Marley, for a special performance of her classic hit “Ex-Factor.” The mother-son duo also treated the audience to Marley’s songs “Survival” and “Praise Jah in the Moonlight” with the accompaniment of a live band.

The electrifying show also marked Fallon’s 10th anniversary as host of The Tonight Show, with Ms. Hill congratulating him on the milestone. This performance comes on the heels of their surprise appearance at Coachella, where they joined forces with Fugees bandmate Wyclef Jean for a memorable set.

Known for her powerful live performances, Lauryn Hill has been on a 25th-anniversary tour in celebration of her iconic debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Despite facing criticism for her occasional lateness at concerts, Hill addressed her detractors during a show in Los Angeles, emphasizing her dedication to her craft and the support of her community.

In recognition of its cultural impact, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill will be inducted into the Grammys Hall of Fame next week alongside other legendary albums. The ceremony is set to take place at the Novo Theater in Los Angeles on May 21, honoring Hill’s enduring influence on the music industry.
