Experience the Magic of Purple Rain: Stay at Prince’s Iconic Purple Rain House with Airbnb
Fans of the legendary musician Prince will have the opportunity of a lifetime to step into the iconic Purple Rain house as part of Airbnb’s Icons program. To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the groundbreaking film, Paisley Park and the Prince Estate have opened the doors of the legendary Minneapolis residence for the first time ever.
The Purple Rain house, featured prominently in the award-winning film, will be available for fans to reserve this summer. Hosted by Prince’s Revolution bandmates Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman, guests will have the chance to stay in The Kid’s bedroom, where he famously crafted music in the movie.
The experience will also include rare and special Prince tracks, a private tour of the house filled with Prince’s personal items, and the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Purple Rain. The house, purchased by Prince in 2015 but never lived in by the musician, has remained closed to the public until now.
L Londell McMillan, speaking on behalf of the Prince Estate, expressed excitement about honoring Prince’s enduring legacy with this unique experience. Sam Sklover added that the restoration of the iconic home stays true to Prince’s vision and will provide fans, both old and new, with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to celebrate his legacy.
For fans of Prince and music history, this exclusive chance to step into the world of Purple Rain is a must-see experience that promises to be unforgettable.
