Hot Boys Reuniting for New Album and Essence Fest Performance
The Hot Boys are back! Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk have officially announced their reunion for a new album, along with Mannie Fresh, and will be performing at Essence Fest in New Orleans in July with Birdman.
Juvenile broke the news on Instagram Live, stating, “Hot Boys is back together, man. Turk gonna be with me tonight, I’m gonna be with B.G. next week. Me, Wayne, Turk and B.G., all of us gonna be on stage in New Orleans with Mannie Fresh and Birdman. And we already started working on the Hot Boys album.”
Despite past issues between Lil Wayne and B.G., the group seems to have reconciled, with B.G. showing love to Wayne and explaining their complicated relationship. Both B.G. and Juvenile have promised a Hot Boys reunion tour, which was first mentioned by Birdman last year.
Wayne also discussed the plans on YG’s 4HUNNID Podcast, mentioning that logistical issues surrounding B.G.’s post-release conditions were the only holdup.
The upcoming Essence Fest performance is billed as a 30-year celebration of Cash Money Records, headlined by Birdman. While the full lineup has yet to be revealed, fans can expect a star-studded event with the potential for appearances by other Cash Money artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga.
The Hot Boys reunion is sure to be a highly anticipated event for fans of the iconic group, bringing together some of the biggest names in hip-hop for a night to remember.
