Mayor Eric Adams Considers Revoking Diddy’s Key to the City Amid Controversy

Mayor Eric Adams is considering revoking Diddy’s key to the city, following the release of a disturbing video from 2016 showing Diddy assaulting singer Cassie. The video, obtained by CNN, shows Diddy physically attacking Cassie in a hotel hallway, throwing her to the floor, kicking and stomping on her, and even throwing a vase at her.

In response to the video, Diddy issued an apology on Instagram, but Cassie’s lawyers have criticized his apology as disingenuous and self-serving. Cassie’s attorney, Meredith Firetog, stated that Diddy only apologized once his repeated denials were proven false, showing his desperation.

The video has sparked outrage and calls for justice, with Cassie filing a lawsuit against Diddy in federal court, accusing him of rape and abuse that began when she was just 19 years old. The lawsuit, now settled, alleges acts of sex trafficking, human trafficking, sexual battery, and more.

Following a federal raid on Diddy’s properties in March, where electronic devices were seized as part of an investigation into sex trafficking allegations, Diddy and his legal team released a statement condemning the use of “military-level force” in the raid. They maintain Diddy’s innocence and vow to fight to clear his name.

As the investigation continues and calls for justice grow louder, Cassie remains hopeful that Diddy will be held accountable for his actions. The disturbing video and subsequent events have shed light on the alleged predatory behavior of the music mogul, sparking a conversation about accountability and justice in the entertainment industry.
