Mother of Black Wisconsin Teen Demands Truth After Suspicious Death

Sheena Scarbrough, the mother of the Black Wisconsin teen who was tragically killed after a date with a white man, is determined to uncover the truth behind her daughter’s death. Following the discovery of her daughter’s remains along the shores of Lake Michigan, Scarbrough has taken matters into her own hands.

On Monday evening, Scarbrough’s attorney revealed to FOX6 News that she has filed requests to the authorities to demand answers regarding the latest development in the case. Specifically, they are seeking clarification on whether an arm that washed up on the Waukegan, Ill. side of Lake Michigan belongs to 19-year-old Sade Robinson.

Despite authorities notifying Robinson’s family of the floating remains, they will not have confirmation until DNA tests are conducted. The attorney criticized the police investigation, calling the discovery of a body part potentially belonging to Robinson in a different state “entirely too much.”

Furthermore, 6th Ward Alderman Keith Turner faced backlash for allegedly posting a picture of the severed arm on his Facebook page. Scarbrough and others demanded accountability for his actions.

In response to the controversy, Mayor Ann Taylor condemned Turner’s actions, calling them “morally disgusting, socially irresponsible, and extremely cruel to the victim’s family.” The newly found remains are currently with the Lake County Coroner’s Office for DNA testing, while authorities have confirmed that the other remains found on the Milwaukee side of Lake Michigan belonged to Robinson.

The man Robinson was last seen with, 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson, has been arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson. The community awaits further developments in this tragic case as Scarbrough continues to seek justice for her daughter.
