Harlem Woman Fatally Stabbed Outside Building, Names Suspect Before Passing

The Harlem community is in shock and mourning after the tragic death of Shirley Rodriguez, who was fatally stabbed outside her apartment building this week. The 29-year-old lab technician was attacked in broad daylight, leaving her family and neighbors devastated.

According to reports, Rodriguez’s family heard her screams and rushed to her aid, only to find her covered in blood with a severe gash on her face. Despite their efforts to save her, Rodriguez succumbed to her injuries, but not before she was able to identify her attacker.

In her last moments, Rodriguez managed to utter the words, “It was Ty,” referring to her ex-boyfriend Tyquan Jemmott. Family members revealed that the couple had recently broken up due to Jemmott’s controlling behavior, which escalated to harassment after Rodriguez blocked him on social media.

Authorities were able to locate Jemmott at his uncle’s home in the Bronx and he has since been charged with murder and weapon possession. The community is reeling from the senseless act of violence and is coming together to support Rodriguez’s grieving family.

Neighbors and loved ones remember Rodriguez as a kind and hardworking individual, whose life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, but for now, the community is focused on honoring Rodriguez’s memory and seeking justice for her untimely death.
