Former Wild N Out comedian, Aries Spears, recently caused a stir in the comedy world when he aired out some of his fellow comedians, including Corey Holcomb, Kevin Hart, and Mike Epps.
In a series of tweets and interviews, Spears didn’t hold back on his opinions about the comedy industry and some of the biggest names in the game. When asked about Corey Holcomb, Spears said, “He’s a talented comedian, but he’s always been a bit of a loose cannon. He’s said some things that have rubbed people the wrong way, and I’m just not a fan of his style.”
Regarding Kevin Hart, Spears didn’t pull any punches either. He criticized Hart’s mainstream success, saying, “Kevin has become too corporate. He’s lost that edge that made him so funny in the first place. I miss the old Kevin, the one who wasn’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks.”
As for Mike Epps, Spears had some mixed feelings. He praised Epps for his raw and unfiltered comedy, but also called him out for being too focused on money and fame. Spears said, “Mike is a funny guy, no doubt about it. But sometimes I feel like he’s more concerned about his image and his bank account than he is about his craft.”
But perhaps the most interesting comments came when Spears talked about Katt Williams. Despite their rocky history, Spears had nothing but praise for Williams. He called Williams a comedy genius and said, “Katt is on another level. He’s not just funny, he’s insightful and thought-provoking. He’s always been a mentor to me, and I have nothing but respect for him.”
Overall, Aries Spears didn’t hold back when it came to sharing his opinions on his fellow comedians. Whether you agree with him or not, one thing’s for sure – Spears definitely knows how to keep things interesting in the world of comedy.
