Lil Wayne Makes History with Groundbreaking Shared Residency in Las Vegas

Lil Wayne is set to make history in Las Vegas later this month with the launch of the first-ever “shared residency” on the infamous Strip. The rapper will kick off his residency at Drai’s Beach Club at The Cromwell hotel on June 29, followed by a performance at Zouk Nightclub on July 12.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Lil Wayne to Zouk Las Vegas,” said Joe Lopez, Vice President of the venue. “His dynamic performances and legendary status make him the perfect artist to launch this transformative residency.”

Dustin Drai, President of Drai’s Management Group, also expressed excitement about the partnership with Lil Wayne, stating, “We cannot wait to continue our longstanding relationship with Lil Wayne and have him return as a resident artist at Drai’s.”

Tickets for the initial dates are currently available on both Zouk and Drai’s websites, with additional dates yet to be announced. The residencies are said to lead up to Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated 14th studio album, Tha Carter VI, which he has been teasing since 2022.

In a recent interview, Lil Wayne expressed his disappointment with Kevin Durant for revealing a collaboration they had in the works that was intended for Tha Carter VI. The track was originally supposed to be on the Welcome 2 ColleGrove album with 2 Chainz, but Wayne had saved it for his upcoming solo project.

Fans can expect an unforgettable nightlife experience in Las Vegas as Lil Wayne takes the stage for his groundbreaking residency, setting the stage for the release of Tha Carter VI.
