2Pac’s Accused Killer Keefe D Reportedly Set to Be Released from Prison on Six-Figure Bond
Keefe D, the prime suspect in the murder case of iconic rapper 2Pac, is set to be released from prison on a six-figure bond. The 61-year-old, whose real name is Duane Davis, has reportedly gathered the $750,000 required for his release as he awaits his murder trial scheduled for November.
Davis will appear in court on Tuesday, where the terms and conditions of his release will be laid out by Judge Carli Kierny. His court-appointed attorneys had previously petitioned for leniency, citing his deteriorating health and claiming that he poses no danger.
Despite pleading not guilty, Davis has confessed to the rapper’s murder multiple times in the past, including in his 2019 book “Compton Street Legend.” Prosecutors have pointed out his past affiliation with the South Side Compton Crips and his involvement in the shooting that took 2Pac’s life over two decades ago.
The night of the shooting, 2Pac was involved in a brawl with Davis’ late nephew Orlando Anderson, who is believed to have been in the car with Davis during the drive-by attack. 2Pac, who was only 25 years old at the time of his death, left behind a legacy that continues to influence the music industry to this day.
As Davis prepares for his release from the Clark County Detention Center, questions remain about the events leading up to 2Pac’s tragic passing and the role he may have played in it. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
