The actor, surrounded by supporters, opened up about his experiences in the criminal justice system as a Black man.

    Reflecting on his arrest and verdict, Majors expressed a range of emotions, from anger and sadness to fear and vulnerability. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, he emphasized the importance of resilience and the support he received from his community.

    Receiving the award from Iyanla Vanzant, Majors broke down in tears, acknowledging his imperfections and expressing gratitude for his loved ones. He thanked prominent figures in the industry who stood by him during his difficult times, including Will Smith, Tyler Perry, and Whoopi Goldberg.

    In a heartfelt moment, Majors expressed his love and appreciation for his family, particularly his daughter Ella, promising her that they will be alright. Despite the obstacles he faced, Majors ended his speech on a hopeful note, singing a rendition of Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire” and expressing his determination to move forward.

    Following his conviction, Majors was sentenced to probation and a domestic violence treatment program. Despite facing professional setbacks, the actor has landed a new role in Martin Villeneuve’s upcoming film “Merciless,” showcasing his resilience and determination to continue his career in Hollywood.
