Black Woman from Chicago Missing in the Bahamas: Family Desperate for Answers
Taylor Casey, a Black woman from Chicago and passionate yoga enthusiast, embarked on a journey to the Bahamas for a yoga retreat at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island. However, her family has not heard from her since June 19, raising concerns about her safety and well-being.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force was alerted by the yoga retreat center when Casey failed to attend her scheduled class, prompting a missing person’s flyer to be issued two days later. Despite efforts to locate her, there is limited information available about Casey’s appearance prior to her disappearance, leaving her family worried that foul play may be involved.
Casey’s mother, Colette Seymore, expressed deep concern for her daughter’s safety, emphasizing that Casey would never voluntarily vanish without a trace. The family’s fears are compounded by a Level 2 advisory issued by the U.S. State Department warning Americans to exercise caution in the Bahamas due to a rise in violent crimes.
In response to Casey’s disappearance, a Find Taylor Casey Facebook group has been established to gather tips, contact authorities, and coordinate prayer vigils for her safe return. The family is set to travel to Nassau to collaborate with law enforcement in the search for Casey.
As the search intensifies, the community rallies behind Casey’s family, offering support and encouragement in the quest to find her. Anyone with information on Taylor Casey’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Royal Bahamas Police Force Criminal Investigations Department or Crime stoppers. The search for Taylor Casey continues, with hopes for her safe return growing stronger each day.
