Culture Creators 8th Annual Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch Honors Excellence in Culture
Culture Creators is gearing up for its 8th Annual Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch, set to take place on June 28th at the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom. The event, presented by BET and powered by Mรถet Hennessy and Lexus, will honor excellence and groundbreaking achievements in culture.
This year, the event will benefit The Culture Creators Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting underrepresented students in industries lacking diversity. Funds raised at the brunch will go towards the 2024 Academic School Year Scholarship Program for the foundation’s Campus Changemakers.
The event will honor Lorrie Bartlett of Creative Artists Agency with the Icon Award for her contributions to the entertainment industry and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Additionally, Teyana Taylor will receive the Innovator of the Year Award for her influence on music, fashion, film, and culture.
Founder of Culture Creators, Joi Brown, expressed the organization’s belief in the power of diversity to drive innovation and progress. The event aims to celebrate trailblazers from diverse backgrounds and inspire a new generation of creators and leaders.
Other honorees at the event include Monique Idlett of Reign Venture Capital, Connie Orlando of BET, Tai Beauchamp of Morning Mindset with Tai, Claire Sulmers of FashionBombDaily, Alencia Johnson, Cecil White of WME Sports, Wayman + Micah, Alton Glass, and Maya and Brian Smith of The Doux.
