Florida Woman Allegedly Runs Over Boyfriend Holding 1-Year-Old Child: Polk County Sheriff’s Office

A Florida woman, Aaliyah Ross, is facing serious charges after allegedly running over her boyfriend with her car while he was holding their 1-year-old child. The incident unfolded during an argument between the couple, with Ross reportedly becoming violent after her boyfriend pushed her in the back of the head.

Surveillance footage captured the horrifying moment when Ross got into her vehicle with her two other children in the back seat, while her boyfriend stood in front of the car holding their infant. He then placed the baby on the ground and began hitting the car with a brick before grabbing the child and attempting to flee. Ross accelerated towards them, running over both her boyfriend and the baby before crashing into a trailer.

The boyfriend sustained injuries to his body and lungs, while the child suffered multiple fractures and a partially collapsed lung. Despite their injuries, Ross allegedly left the scene and instructed her boyfriend to take the child to the hospital himself.

Ross was apprehended by police and now faces charges including aggravated child abuse, aggravated battery, and negligent child abuse. She admitted to threatening her boyfriend with her car in the past but claimed she always swerved at the last moment. This time, she assumed he would move out of the way.

Ross is currently in custody at Polk County Jail, and her other two children have been placed in the care of the Florida Department of Children and Families. The shocking incident has left the community reeling and serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence.
