Rapper Remy Ma’s son, Jayson Scott, has found himself in serious trouble as he faces charges for the fatal shooting of Darius Guillebeaux in June 2021. Scott, who has appeared on reality TV with his famous mother, is facing charges of first and second-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Prosecutors allege that Scott was hired to murder Guillebeaux, who tragically died from a gunshot wound. Scott is accused of firing at the victim twice, while his accomplice allegedly fired two additional shots. If convicted, Scott, 23, could potentially face life in prison without parole.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz expressed her strong stance against gun violence, stating, “Deadly gun violence has no place in our neighborhoods, and we will remain steadfast in getting illegal guns and those who use them off the streets of Queens.”

Scott’s accomplice, Richard Swygert, 22, who is already incarcerated for a separate murder in the same year, is also facing charges of second-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted, Swygert could face up to 25 years in prison, in addition to his other pending cases.

Remy Ma has stood by her son’s innocence, expressing her hope for a thorough investigation to reveal the truth. She has requested privacy for her family as they navigate this difficult time. As the legal proceedings unfold, the public eagerly awaits the outcome of this shocking case.
