Maino Accuses Hitmaka of Fabricating Story About Infamous Slap

Maino Responds to Hitmaka’s Denial of Altercation and Sets the Record Straight

In a recent interview on Way Up with Angela Yee, Maino addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding an alleged altercation with Hitmaka back in 2008. Hitmaka had previously denied the incident ever occurred, but Maino set the record straight by confirming that he did indeed slap Hitmaka during the altercation.

During the interview, Maino expressed his confusion as to why Hitmaka would bring up the incident after so many years, stating, “We’re talking over 10 years [ago]. It’s not relevant. Why you taking time to make up these stories?” Maino emphasized that he and Hitmaka had moved past the incident, and he questioned Hitmaka’s motives for bringing it up now.

Maino also called out Hitmaka for not telling the truth about the altercation, stating, “You brought that up and you’re not even telling the truth. You’re making it seem like—you’re talking about I’m opening up for you. It’s all cap.” Hitmaka’s denial of the incident stems from an interview with DJ Akademiks, where he admitted that his actions at the time led to the beef between him and Maino.

Despite the controversy, Maino and Hitmaka were recently seen posing together at an event in New York City, indicating that they have put the past behind them. Maino’s full response to Hitmaka can be heard on Way Up with Angela Yee, with further updates on the situation expected to come from HotNewHipHop.
