Shaquille O’Neal Apologizes to Drake for Sharing BBL Drizzy Meme

Shaquille O’Neal recently found himself in hot water after sharing a Drake meme on his social media profile, but he has since clarified that he meant no harm towards the rapper.

During an episode of The Big Podcast With Shaq, the NBA legend addressed the controversy surrounding a meme he posted on his Instagram Stories. The image featured Shaq holding a woman in a bikini, with Drake’s face edited onto hers.

In a public apology, Shaq explained, “The mistake I made was I should’ve said ‘Who did this?’ […] Listen, Drake has a great sense of humor, so I thought it was funny that they did it. Like I saw ‘Shaq’s Trolling’ — no, I’m not trolling. I didn’t Photoshop it; somebody Photoshopped it […] I thought it was funny and, hopefully, [Drake] thought it was funny too. But once it went viral, I definitely took it down.”

Meanwhile, Drake’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar has raised eyebrows, with the Canadian superstar seemingly shading those who have switched allegiances. After K.Dot’s recent performance in Inglewood, California, where he played diss tracks aimed at Drake, the rapper took to Instagram to post a selfie wearing what appeared to be a Cleveland Guardians jersey with the words “Summer League” stamped over it.

This move has sparked speculation that Drake may be rethinking his loyalty to LeBron James, who has been a close friend and supporter. With the NBA season wrapped up, all eyes are now on the Summer League as fans eagerly await to see where Drake’s allegiances lie.
