Emmy-Winning Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph Braces for Hurricane Beryl in Jamaica

Emmy-award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph is among the thousands of people in the Caribbean preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Beryl. Currently in her home country of Jamaica, Ralph shared a video update urging residents to stay indoors and off the roads as the storm approaches.

Having taken necessary precautions, Ralph and her family have sheltered in place and secured their outdoor furniture to prevent any potential damage. Hurricane Beryl, initially a Category 5 storm, has already caused significant destruction in several Caribbean islands and continues to show signs of major hurricane strength as it moves towards Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

Ralph’s son, Etienne Maurice, was set to marry his longtime girlfriend, journalist Stephanie Wash, in Kingston on Saturday. While the wedding plans may be affected by the storm, the couple remains hopeful and trusting in God’s plan.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has advised Jamaicans to stock up on essentials and secure their properties ahead of the storm. Despite feeling some “hurricane nerves,” Ralph remains positive and asks for prayers for everyone in Jamaica during this challenging time.

As Hurricane Beryl approaches, the Caribbean community bands together to weather the storm and support one another through this difficult time. Stay tuned for updates on the storm’s impact and the resilience of those affected.
