Skilla Baby Threatens to Sue Detroit Police Over Lieutenant’s Misconduct

Detroit rapper Skilla Baby is taking a stand against what he perceives as harassment from the police department in his hometown. The 25-year-old artist, born Trevon Gardner, took to Instagram to share his frustrations with the repeated interference he faces from city officials, particularly one officer he referred to as Lieutenant Rue.

In a video post, Skilla detailed instances where Lieutenant Rue allegedly sabotaged his events and labeled him as a “gang member” and a “murderer.” Despite his efforts to give back to the community, Skilla feels disrespected and targeted by the police.

“I just pour into my city,” Skilla expressed. “I got people records expunged. I give houses away and they don’t respect me for it. I’m only 25. It is kind of crazy. My boy, Lieutenant Rue you crazy.”

In response to the ongoing harassment, Skilla Baby announced his intention to pursue legal action against the Detroit Police Department. He plans to sue the city for allowing Lieutenant Rue to disrupt his events and hinder his efforts to contribute positively to his community.

While Skilla Baby is known for his love for Detroit, he recently stirred up some controversy by suggesting that Eminem may not be considered the greatest rapper from the Motor City by locals. Despite acknowledging Eminem’s impressive numbers, Skilla claimed that Detroit has seen a rotation of favorite rappers over the years, highlighting the diversity and talent within the city’s hip-hop scene.

As Skilla Baby continues to navigate his career and advocate for change in his community, his determination to stand up against injustice and pursue legal action demonstrates his commitment to making a difference.
