Survivor Sabrina Greenlee Shares Her Inspiring Story of Strength and Forgiveness

Sabrina Greenlee’s life changed forever on July 20, 2002, when she became the victim of a horrifying acid attack that left her fighting for her life and took away her sight. Now, over two decades later, Greenlee is sharing her story of survival in a new memoir titled “Grant Me Vision.”

In her memoir, Greenlee vividly describes her upbringing in South Carolina and the impact her family and community had on her life. She reflects on her past as a well-known exotic dancer and the glamorous lifestyle she once led, filled with trips and parties with celebrities.

However, everything changed when a woman connected to her ex-boyfriend threw a mixture of bleach and lye on her face and body, leaving her for dead. Greenlee was airlifted to a burn care center in Augusta, Georgia, where she spent a month in a coma before reuniting with her family.

The attack took a toll on Greenlee’s mental health, leading to years of battling depression and thoughts of suicide. But it was her faith and love for her children, including her son NFL star DeAndre Hopkins, that gave her the strength to push through the pain and continue living.
