Tragic Shooting Claims Life of Oakland Rapper Tan DaGod at Beauty Store Opening
Oakland rapper and entrepreneur Tan DaGod tragically passed away following a shooting at the grand opening of Glamor Beauty Supply in Oakland over the weekend. The “Ex Wood Pack” spitter was at the event for a meet-and-greet when the shooting occurred, resulting in her death and leaving another person injured. The local police department is still working to identify the perpetrator.
Witnesses described hearing gunshots during the event, with one individual mistaking the sounds for part of the music. The news of Tan DaGod’s murder quickly spread online, prompting an outpouring of condolences and tributes from the hip-hop community.
Oakland rap legend Mistah F.A.B took to social media to share a heartfelt message about the departed artist, expressing his shock and sadness over the senseless violence. The tragic loss of Tan DaGod comes just weeks after the murder of another young rapper, Julio Foolio, in Tampa.
Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones, was shot and killed at a Holiday Inn following a birthday party that was shut down by police. This marked the fourth time Foolio had been the target of a shooting in recent years, with a previous incident in October resulting in severe injuries.
The hip-hop community continues to mourn the loss of these talented artists, highlighting the ongoing issue of violence and tragedy within the industry.
