Alabama State Football Team Looks to Break Through in 2024 Season
Alabama State football team is gearing up for what they hope will be a championship-winning season after being picked to win the Eastern Division at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Media Day last week. Head coach Eddie Robinson Jr. is optimistic about the team’s chances, emphasizing the importance of hard work and focus on winning each game.
Despite finishing third and second in the SWAC East in his first two seasons, Robinson believes that with the addition of key transfers like quarterback Andrew Body and running back Daquon Quincy, the Hornets have the firepower to make a run for the title this year. Robinson stresses the need for intentionality and purpose in every play and practice, highlighting the fine margins that separated them from success in previous seasons.
The team is putting in the work leading up to their season opener against North Carolina Central at the Orange Blossom Classic in Miami Gardens on September 1st. Robinson is encouraged by the commitment and dedication shown by his players, who are determined to make this season a successful one.
With high expectations and a focus on excellence, Alabama State is aiming to not only win the SWAC East but also the conference and the Black College national championship in 2024. Robinson and his team are ready to compete and give their all to achieve their goal of bringing home a championship.
