Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson Settle Divorce After More Than One Year

After more than a year since Tina Knowles filed for divorce from Richard Lawson, the former couple has finally settled their separation. Legal documents obtained by In Touch revealed that the 70-year-old former stylist and Lawson have come to an agreement that covers all outstanding issues.

The agreement stated that “irreconcilable differences have arisen between the parties which have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, making it impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife.” Knowles was awarded a 2018 Tesla, a 2020 Bentley, and other assets including her creative works and jewelry. Lawson, on the other hand, received a 2021 Cadillac Escalade and other financial assets.

Both parties will cover their own credit card debt, with Knowles agreeing to pay all outstanding balances on household expenses and Lawson taking responsibility for the Cadillac debt. The settlement also includes a one-time payment of $300K from Knowles to Lawson, and a non-disparagement clause that prohibits either party from speaking negatively about each other, their children, or grandchildren.

Knowles and Lawson tied the knot in a lavish yacht wedding in 2015, attended by their children and celebrity guests. The couple separated in 2023, with Knowles filing for divorce the following day. The settlement brings an end to their eight-year marriage, allowing them to move forward with their lives separately.
