Karla Weeden’s journey to motherhood has been nothing short of miraculous. After surviving a car accident while 23 weeks pregnant, giving birth to premature twins who tragically did not survive, and battling heart failure, she never gave up hope.

Despite being told by doctors that another pregnancy would be life-threatening, Weeden found love again, got married, and completely transformed her lifestyle. Through medical intervention, including a defibrillator implant and gastric sleeve surgery, she lost weight and regained her health.

Seven years after her heart failure diagnosis, doctors were amazed to find no signs of the condition. With her new husband, Jarvis, by her side, Weeden decided to try for another child. In November 2022, they received the joyous news that they were expecting.

However, the road to welcoming their daughter, Kapri, was not without challenges. Weeden was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy during her pregnancy, and she also experienced post-eclampsia after giving birth. But her unwavering positivity and determination saw her through.
