Benny The Butcher Disappoints Fans as Drake Collaboration Disappears from Streaming Services
Benny The Butcher fans were thrilled when the Griselda rapper dropped his new EP Buffalao Butch, Vol. 1 on Friday (August 23). The project featured a highly anticipated collaboration with Drake on the track “Buffalo Freestyle,” along with appearances from Fabolous and 38 Spesh. However, fans were left confused and disappointed when the EP suddenly disappeared from streaming services without any explanation.
Fans took to social media to express their frustration and seek answers from Benny, with one fan commenting, “[W]here tf did it go?? shits gone off spotify,” and another asking, “Why not available anymore???” Some even speculated that Drake may be behind the removal of the project, as he shared new music on his burner Instagram account shortly after the EP’s release.
Despite the outcry from fans, Benny has remained silent on the matter and has yet to address the mysterious disappearance of Buffalao Butch, Vol. 1. The “Buffalo Freestyle” collaboration had been long-awaited, with Benny teasing the song as far back as 2020. It was even rumored to be considered for Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album, but ultimately did not make the cut.
In a previous interview, Benny expressed his frustration over the shelved collaboration, calling it “my biggest record” and admitting that he was “pissed” about its delayed release. While fans continue to wait for answers, it remains unclear why the EP was pulled from streaming services and whether the Drake collaboration will ever see the light of day again.
