Travis Scott’s Days Before Rodeo Expected to Outsell Most 2024 Rap Albums

Travis Scott’s re-released 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo is making waves in the music industry, with projections indicating that it will outsell most other Hip Hop albums from 2024. The mixtape, released commercially for the first time last week to mark its 10th anniversary, is estimated to sell 217,000 equivalent units in its first week, according to HITS Daily Double.

While Days Before Rodeo is vying for the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart, it faces tough competition from Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet, which is tracking at over 300,000 equivalent sales. Despite this, Travis Scott still has a chance of clinching the top spot, given his track record of strong physical and digital sales.

The mixtape, which features a deluxe edition with five bonus songs exclusively available for purchase on the rapper’s website, has the potential to have the third biggest first-week sales of any rap album this year, trailing only Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady and Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You.

Travis Scott has hinted at the possibility of a tour dedicated to Days Before Rodeo, further exciting fans. The mixtape, which served as a precursor to his debut album Rodeo, boasts collaborations with artists like Young Thug, Big Sean, and Migos, and includes fan-favorite tracks such as “Drugs You Should Try It” and “Mamacita.” With its impressive sales figures and continued popularity, Days Before Rodeo is proving to be a timeless classic in the world of Hip Hop.
