Irv Gotti Recovering from Stroke, Working on DMX Biopic
Irv Gotti, the music executive known for his work with artists like Ja Rule and Ashanti, is reportedly recovering from a recent stroke and already back to work on a biopic about the late DMX. Gotti’s rep confirmed to The Shade Room that he is doing well and appreciates the concern for his health.
In addition to working on the DMX movie, Gotti’s rep also addressed the fact that Wack 100 had revealed the private news about his health to the public, causing some upset. DMX tragically passed away earlier this year at the age of 50 due to a cocaine-induced heart attack.
While no further details about the biopic were announced, Gotti’s rep also clarified rumors about the severity of his health scare, stating that he had suffered a “minor stroke” over six months ago but has since made a full recovery by changing his diet to eat healthier.
The news of Gotti’s stroke was first made public by Wack 100, who claimed to have been tipped off by an employee at a stroke recovery center. Photos of Gotti walking with a cane outside the center were shared, leading to speculation about his health.
Gotti himself has been open about his struggles with diabetes, a condition that he says is rampant among Black people. Despite the challenges, he remains positive and focused on his recovery and his work in the music industry.
