Violent Altercation at Manhattan Pizzeria Leaves Manager in Critical Condition

A typical evening shift at a Manhattan pizzeria turned into a horrifying ordeal when a customer’s refusal to take his unleashed pit bull outside led to a violent altercation that left the restaurant manager fighting for his life.

The incident occurred at Roma Pizza on 5th Avenue in the Flatiron District on August 19th. Tyshaun Watson, 35, entered the establishment with his unleashed pit bull, despite being asked to leave by the manager, Zack, due to city laws prohibiting unleashed dogs in public places. What started as a simple request quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.

Surveillance footage captured Watson dragging Zack outside the pizzeria, where he proceeded to slam him to the ground and repeatedly punch him. The situation took a turn for the worse when Watson’s pit bull joined in, attacking and biting the manager all over his body. Zack was left with life-threatening injuries and had to be rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

Watson now faces charges of first-degree assault and second-degree attempted murder. As he made his way to court, he expressed remorse for his actions, stating that he never meant for things to escalate to such a violent extent. Meanwhile, the NYPD has taken custody of his dog.
