    Alcorn State University President Announces New Director of Intercollegiate Athletics

    Alcorn State University President Tracy M. Cook has announced the appointment of E. D’Wayne Robinson as the new director of intercollegiate athletics, effective September 15. Robinson, an alumnus of Alcorn, brings over 25 years of leadership experience in collegiate athletics administration to the Brave family.

    President Cook expressed his gratitude to the selection committee for their recommendation of Robinson, highlighting his deep connection to the university as an alumnus whose parents also attended. Cook is confident that Robinson will bring new ideas, innovation, and growth to the athletics programs at Alcorn State.

    Robinson, who previously served as deputy associate athletic director at Alcorn, has a proven track record of success in compliance, fiscal management, and student-athlete development. His experience includes leadership roles at Florida A&M University and Alabama A&M University, where he made significant contributions to the athletic programs.

    In his statement, Robinson expressed his honor and excitement to lead the historic and dynamic athletic program at Alcorn State.
