Donald Trump Refuses Third Debate with Kamala Harris: What’s Next?

Former President Donald Trump is not backing down after Vice President Kamala Harris was declared the clear winner of their first presidential debate. Despite calls for a rematch from the Harris campaign, Trump has adamantly refused to participate in another debate.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump declared, “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” He went on to claim that he was the true victor of the debate and accused the event of being rigged against him and Harris. Trump cited his previous debates with President Joe Biden as successful and saw no need for another matchup.

In response, Harris remained steadfast in her call for another debate, stating that they owe it to the voters. The Harris campaign dismissed Trump’s refusal, with a senior advisor noting that Trump changes his position frequently and predicting that there will indeed be another debate before the election.

With both candidates’ vice presidential picks set to face off in their own debate, the question remains whether Trump will reconsider his stance on a rematch. As the election draws closer, voters will have to wait and see if the two candidates will have another opportunity to debate each other before heading to the polls.
