Tito Jackson, the beloved member of the iconic Jackson 5, has passed away at the age of 70. The news of his death was confirmed by his sons TJ, Taj, and Taryll in a heartfelt statement posted on Instagram.

Tito, born Toriano Adaryll Jackson, was the third of the nine Jackson siblings, including global superstars Michael and Janet Jackson. The Jackson 5, consisting of Tito and his brothers, achieved immense success in the 1970s with hits like “ABC,” “I Want You Back,” and “I’ll Be There.”

The Jackson family, guided by their father Joe Jackson, became one of the biggest names in music, with Tito playing a crucial role as a background singer and guitarist in the group. Despite the success of his brothers’ solo careers, Tito remained dedicated to his family and raising his three sons, who formed the music group 3T.

In the wake of Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009, Tito spoke about how the tragedy brought the family closer together, but the loss was something he would never fully come to terms with. He continued to honor his brother’s memory through music, releasing his solo project “Tito Time” in 2016 and working on new music up until his passing.

Tito Jackson leaves behind a lasting legacy in the music industry and is survived by his brothers and sisters, as well as his mother Katherine. His impact on the world of music will always be remembered, and his spirit will live on through the music he created with his family.
