Exclusive Interview with Vice President Kamala Harris: Addressing Black Male Voters, Economic Policy, and International Relations

While polls show that the majority of Black voters intend to choose Harris, there have been reports of more Black men supporting former President Donald Trump. The Vice President also tackled questions about child care affordability, housing costs, and the conflict in Gaza. She emphasized the importance of reaching a hostage deal in Gaza and expressed support for Palestinians’ right to self-determination.

Harris condemned false and racist rumors spread by Trump and his allies about Haitian immigrants, calling it a “crying shame” and stressing the responsibility of leaders to use their words wisely. In contrast to past combative interviews, Harris closed the conversation by thanking NABJ and the interviewers for the opportunity.
