Chris Brown and Lil Durk Sued for Allegedly Stealing Song from Producer Micah Foster
Producer Micah Foster has filed a lawsuit against Chris Brown and Lil Durk, accusing them of stealing his beat for their 2022 collaboration “Till the Wheels Fall Off.” Foster claims that he played his song, originally titled “Wheels Fall Off,” to Brown, who then allegedly copied the track’s chorus, hook, and arrangement for their hit song.
The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, reveals that Foster created his song in 2019, three years before Brown and Durk’s collaboration. Foster is seeking royalties from the song, claiming that he has not been compensated at all, leading to the legal action.
“Till the Wheels Fall Off” is the opening track on Brown’s 2022 album and features Capella Grey. The song credits several other songwriters, including RoccStar, Fridayy, Kifano Reque, and Yacoub Kawaja.
This is not the only legal trouble Brown is facing, as he was recently sued for $50 million over an alleged backstage beating that occurred during one of his tour stops in Texas. The lawsuit alleges that Brown, along with Yella Beezy and Live Nation, were involved in the incident, which left the plaintiffs with severe injuries requiring medical treatment.
While Brown has yet to comment on the accusations, Beezy has denied any involvement in the alleged incident through his lawyer. The legal battles continue for the R&B singer as he faces multiple lawsuits over alleged copyright infringement and physical assault.
