Toronto Rapper Lady SB Charged with Human Trafficking: Details and Updates
Toronto rapper Lady SB, along with four other individuals, has been charged with human trafficking in Toronto following a five-month joint investigation by authorities. The group allegedly maintained control over their victims through coercion, force, manipulation, and abuse from September 2019 until their arrest.
The accused individuals include Lady SB, Prince Munroe (also known as Casino Barnes), Jamie Munroe (Prince’s brother), Jonathan Bennett, and Shuwayne Mitchell. Police have not disclosed the number of alleged victims in this trafficking scheme but executed search warrants in Toronto and Brampton, seizing cash, a firearm, ammo, and other items.
Lady SB and the Monroes face charges of trafficking in persons, promoting sexual services, and assault, while Bennett and Mitchell face charges of procuring and exercising control over the procured. These charges are yet to be tested in court and remain alleged.
Lady SB had previously hinted at involvement in illegal activities during an interview in 2023, which has now raised suspicions. Investigators have warned that there may be more victims yet to be identified.
