Diddy Seeks Dismissal of Sexual Assault Lawsuit Amid Escalating Federal Case

Developments in Diddy’s Legal Battles: Motion to Dismiss Crystal McKinney’s Lawsuit and More

Diddy, the music mogul, is facing a massive federal indictment, but that’s not the only legal battle he’s currently embroiled in. Recently, TMZ reported that Diddy and his team have filed a motion to dismiss Crystal McKinney’s sexual assault lawsuit against him, citing the expiration of the statute of limitations for these claims.

Crystal McKinney alleges that back in 2003, she met Diddy at a Men’s Fashion Week event in New York City, where he allegedly drugged her, forced her to perform oral sex, and subsequently blackballed her from the modeling industry. She also revealed that she attempted suicide the following year.

In response to the lawsuit, Diddy’s legal team argues that the claims are time-barred under New York state law, despite McKinney’s legal team citing a local government ordinance that could potentially revive the case. Additionally, Diddy’s lawyers claim that his companies, including Bad Boy Entertainment, cannot be held accountable for the alleged crimes as they did not facilitate or cause them.

The case is expected to continue in a contentious manner, with the outcome uncertain. As the allegations against Diddy remain just that – allegations – it will ultimately be up to a court of law to determine the validity of the claims. Until then, the music executive will have to navigate through these legal challenges while continuing to address the other lawsuits against him for his alleged misconduct.
