Boosie Badazz Wanted on Texas Warrant for Failing to Pay for Services in Austin
Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz is now a wanted man in Austin, TX, after allegedly skipping out on a bill for three days’ worth of services during a visit to the city earlier this summer. An arrest warrant affidavit was issued for Boosie on Friday in Travis County, where he faces charges of theft of service greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000.
The charges stem from a trip Boosie took to Austin between June 5 and June 7. The rapper’s manager had reached out to a chauffeur service to request a sprinter van to pick him and his crew up from the airport. The driver provided a detailed itinerary of their three-day activities, including trips to various locations around the city.
Despite Boosie posting a video promoting the chauffeur service on social media, the company claims they were not informed that the video would fully cover the cost of services. After multiple attempts to secure payment, the company eventually sent an $8,800 invoice to Boosie and his team.
Boosie, who is no stranger to legal troubles, recently requested a pardon from the next president, citing a dismissed ruling that was later vacated in a gun case. The rapper faces potential prison time if convicted in the ongoing legal battle.
As of now, Boosie has not responded to the allegations or the arrest warrant issued in Austin. The case is set for a hearing on October 25, and the rapper’s team has yet to provide a comment on the situation.
