Groundbreaking Financial Commitment and Community Funding Promise for Caesars Palace Times Square Proposal in Hell’s Kitchen

The team behind the Caesars Palace Times Square proposal, led by Roc Nation, has made a groundbreaking financial commitment to the Hell’s Kitchen community in Manhattan. The proposal includes a $15 million initial donation, with ongoing grants based on 0.5% of casino performance if approved.

This commitment is part of a larger $250 million pledge to support neighborhood priorities such as after-school programs, childcare, senior services, and other local needs. A trust governed by community residents will oversee the distribution of funds to ensure they are used effectively.

The bid for Caesars Palace Times Square aims to improve Manhattan’s West Side, including Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen. Investments will address issues like sanitation, security, and congestion management to enhance the area for residents and visitors alike.

Roc Nation founder Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter expressed the team’s dedication to giving back to New York and ensuring long-term benefits for the community. Partnering with SL Green, the project aims to support more New Yorkers through community initiatives led by Roc Nation.

The project will repurpose the existing building at 1515 Broadway, located in the heart of New York City’s entertainment district. With a focus on limited restaurants and hotel rooms, the project will drive demand for surrounding businesses and contribute to the local economy.

Backed by over 150 organizations, local businesses, unions, and Broadway stakeholders, the Caesars Palace Times Square proposal is positioned as a significant victory for the community, promising both economic growth and community support.
