Daylyt Sets Record Straight On Drake ‘Back To Back’ Ghostwriting Rumors
In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Daylyt has finally addressed the long-standing rumor that he secretly helped Drake write his Meek Mill diss track “Back to Back.” The West Coast rapper clarified that he did not write any parts of the song but may have been the inspiration behind its concept.
During the interview on The Bigger Picture, Daylyt revealed that he suggested the idea of Drake dropping a track back to back in the midst of his beef with Meek Mill. This suggestion eventually led to the creation of the iconic diss track that solidified Drake’s place in Hip Hop history.
While Daylyt did not confirm any other songs he may have helped Drake write, he did hint at his involvement in inspiring “Back to Back.” The speculation of his involvement was further fueled by Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” where he referenced someone’s best work being a light pack.
Despite previously taking shots at Drake in his own music, Daylyt assured fans that his relationship with the 6 God is solid these days. He even mentioned a potential future rap battle between himself and others, hinting at exciting things to come in the world of Hip Hop.
