New Music Friday: New Albums from NLE Choppa, DaBaby, Moneybagg Yo, and More

Friday brought a wave of new music releases from some of the biggest names in the hip hop industry. NLE Choppa dropped his highly anticipated project “Slut SZN,” embracing everything raunchy with eight tracks featuring artists like Carey Washington and Whethan. The mixtape celebrates the success of his hit song “Slut Me Out” and marks the end of his era of promiscuity.

Meanwhile, DaBaby returned with a new introspective effort titled “How TF Is This a Mixtape?” The 14-track solo tape sees the North Carolina native exploring his mistakes in the public eye, showing a more reflective side to his artistry. This release comes alongside his new mental health initiative, DaBaby Cares, as he aims to recapture past glories.

Moneybagg Yo also surprised fans with an update to his Speak Now album, adding seven bonus tracks to the project. The album, titled “Speak Now Or…,” features collaborations with artists like GloRilla and BossMan Dlow, and has been completely rejigged to feel like a brand new release.

Other notable releases this week include projects from Tommy Richman, Consequence, Foolio, Cardo, Monaleo, Soulja Boy, Kamaiyah, Peezy, Doodie Lo, Leon Thomas, Bilal, Mustafa, and Quadry. With a wide range of new music to choose from, fans of hip hop have plenty to look forward to this weekend.
