Jackson State coach T.C. Taylor has been utilizing quarterbacks Jacobian Morgan and Cam’Ron McCoy to lead the Tigers offense in recent weeks. Despite McCoy dealing with injuries in his last three starts, Taylor remains confident in his quarterback duo as they prepare for their SWAC opener against Texas Southern.

In their last game against Grambling State, both Morgan and McCoy had their ups and downs. McCoy threw for 140 yards with an interception, while also rushing for 20 yards. On the other hand, Morgan threw for 139 yards, with an interception and a costly fumble that led to a Grambling touchdown.

Taylor expressed his satisfaction with how both quarterbacks have been performing, with McCoy throwing for 266 yards and three touchdowns, and Morgan accumulating 670 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. However, Taylor emphasized the importance of keeping McCoy healthy throughout games to establish a better rhythm within the offense.

The Tigers have shown promise on the field, with McCoy connecting on a 70-yard touchdown pass to Joanes Fortilien in their last game. Despite the challenges they have faced, Taylor and his team remain focused on improving and finding success as they continue their season.
