Sean Combs to Testify in Own Defense During Sex Trafficking and Racketeering Trial, Attorney Says

Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, is gearing up to testify in his own defense during his upcoming sex trafficking and racketeering trial, a move that is considered highly unusual in federal cases. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, revealed in an interview with TMZ that Combs is eager to share his side of the story, stating, “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand.”

Agnifilo hinted that Combs will address every aspect of the case, including a 2016 hotel surveillance video showing him in a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The lawyer emphasized that Combs has a “human story” to tell, one of love, hurt, and heartbreak.

Despite the possibility of a plea deal, Agnifilo suggested that Combs is unlikely to accept one, as he firmly believes in his innocence and wants to stand up for himself and others targeted by the federal government. The attorney added, “He feels an obligation… to show the world that a Black man can win in federal court.”

In response to claims of federal agents seizing a large quantity of baby oil and lubricant from Combs’ properties, Agnifilo downplayed the number, attributing it to bulk purchases for Combs’ multiple homes. He also addressed allegations of “freak-offs,” stating that all participants were consenting and not under the influence.

Prosecutors have built a substantial case against Combs, interviewing over 50 witnesses and victims and gathering numerous videos and electronic devices as evidence. With the trial looming, the decision for Combs to testify seems to have been made.
