New Documentary on Chris Brown Allegations of Violence to Premiere Next Month
The upcoming documentary on Chris Brown, titled “Chris Brown: A History of Violence,” is set to premiere on Investigation Discovery on October 27. The documentary will focus on allegations of violence against the singer throughout his career, shedding light on not only his infamous incident with Rihanna in 2009 but also other alleged incidents of abuse and assault.
In a trailer released for the documentary, a woman is heard saying, “Chris Brown’s an amazing and talented musician, but let’s call a thing a thing. He’s an abuser of women. Consistently, unapologetically.” The film promises to feature expert and cultural commentary, providing insight into the survivors’ experiences and the psychological aftermath of their abuse.
This news comes on the heels of Chris Brown and Yella Beezy being hit with a $50 million lawsuit for an alleged fight that took place at one of their shows. The plaintiffs claim they were invited backstage at Chris’s 11:11 Tour in Fort Worth, TX, where they were attacked by Chris and his entourage.
The lawsuit alleges that Chris Brown and his team members physically assaulted the plaintiffs, resulting in severe injuries that required medical treatment. At least one of the plaintiffs remained hospitalized at the time of the lawsuit filing.
As the documentary prepares to air next month, it is sure to spark conversations about Chris Brown’s troubled past and the allegations of violence that have followed him throughout his career.
