Uber Launches Safari Day Trips in South Africa as Part of “Go Anywhere” Program

Uber is taking riders on a wild adventure with the launch of its new safari day trips in South Africa. As part of its “Go Anywhere” program, the rideshare company is offering limited-edition excursions to connect users to unique travel experiences around the world. From hot-air balloon rides in Turkey to boat rides in Greece, Italy, and Spain, Uber is now expanding its travel initiative to South Africa.

The Uber Safari experience will take travelers on an all-day wildlife exploration of Aquila Private Game Reserve, a wildlife conservancy located two hours away from Cape Town. Departing in a typical rideshare vehicle, guests will be transferred to a traditional safari truck upon arrival at the conservancy. The experience includes lunch, a champagne toast, and time to explore the beautiful grounds of Aquila.

Described as an “easy and luxurious” trip, Uber Safari offers a convenient and affordable way to experience a traditional safari adventure. Typically, international safaris can be expensive and require multi-night stays, but Uber is offering the all-day experience for just $200 for up to four guests. The safaris will run on Fridays and Saturdays from October 4 to January 25, 2025, during the South African high season.

In addition to the safari experience, Uber is also offering deals on other popular activities in Cape Town, such as wine tasting in Stellenbosch. Travelers can use the code “CAPEWINE24” to receive 30% off rides in the Cape Winelands.

Starting October 2, travelers can book the safari experience on the Uber app up to 90 days in advance. With Uber Safari, riders can now explore the beauty of South Africa in a convenient and affordable way, all while supporting wildlife conservation efforts in the region.
