Howard Guard Bryce Harris Named MEAC Men’s Basketball Preseason Player of the Year
Howard senior guard Bryce Harris has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men’s Basketball Preseason Player of the Year, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting season for the Bison. Harris, a first-team All-MEAC honoree, played a crucial role in leading Howard to their second consecutive MEAC Tournament title.
Known for his defensive prowess, Harris was a six-time defensive player of the week and led the conference in field goal percentage while ranking second in scoring and rebounding. His impressive performances on the court, including multiple 20-point games and eight double-double performances, solidified his position as a standout player in the conference.
In addition to Harris’s individual accolades, Howard was selected as the preseason favorite to win the MEAC, receiving 12 first-place votes. Norfolk State, the defending MEAC champion, was picked to finish second, with North Carolina Central and Morgan State rounding out the top four.
